These dictionaries include a licensed copy of a Collins dictionary, a basis dictionary with language teaching software programs.

The products are designed for both work and study, for people who have just started learning English or a foreign language as well as for those who already use the language in their professional life. The most important aim for language learners as well as for professional users is to increase vocabulary and for this we have developed a set of computer-based learning exercises.

Each dictionary includes 80,000 words and 120,000 translations.

Dictionary: All head words in the dictionary - in both languages - have been recorded so that the user can hear how each word is pronounced. The product is just as convenient to use as a conventional paper dictionary and can also be used for translating texts of any size. It includes a quick search facility for each word, cross-referencing, explanations of any abbreviations used in the entries, word by word translation and a lot more. It can be used with any applications including word processors and the Internet.

Shooting gallery: This is a special exercise which is extremely effective for learning new words. It uses as a database different sets of most used words from 200 to 3000 as well as the whole dictionary, plus there are several levels of difficulty. The exercise is designed so that it literally makes the user remember new words and our ?random numbers generator? selects words avoiding repetition and omitting words already ?guessed?. The simplicity and effectiveness of this exercise is the result of 3 years? hard work on the part of our team of mathematicians.

Crosswords: This exercise was developed by the same group of mathematicians also with the aim of building the user?s vocabulary. There are an infinite number of bilingual crosswords which are never duplicated. The traditional fun involved in solving crosswords has now become a powerful device in learning a foreign language. The random numbers generator creates a new crossword in a split second omitting any words which have been previously guessed. The crossword generator also offers several levels of difficulty.

Audio-pad: This is an exercise allowing the user to practice his/her pronunciation to perfection. The exercise is based on new technologies such as full duplex mode with voice recognition.

Right click on the dictionary icon in the system tray
Choose Properties item in the pop up menu
Click on the Administration tab in the Dictionaries Properties window
Set check marks opposite desired sound database(s)
